General Instructions

          Our aim is to make the Library a vibrant learning centre to support the academic and evelopment activities of the Institute. It is our goal to support and contribute to the quality of academic and development activities for the wholesome development of society and serve the larger interests  of humanity.

          Acquire and organize books & journals required by the students,
scholars andfaculty Provide an ambient atmosphere for reading and learning Disseminate electronic information to users’ desktops over the campus network Collaborate with faculty and academic administrators in supporting Curriculum Conduct Information Literacy programmes to users Adopt Best Practices in providing library services to the users

The Central Library is housed in a carpet area of 400Sq.mts, and has 11,985 volumes and subscribes to several National and International Journals.

Library Timings: The Library works on all days of the year except on a few holidays as per the following Schedule 

Week days     : 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Issue Timings : 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Lunch Break   : 12:00 AM to 12:45 AM.


1. The student can use the library services from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in all working days. SILENCE & CLEANLINESS should be strictly maintained in & around the Library & Information Science Centre.
2. Every student should produce the identity card to enter in to the library and also sign in the gate register.
3. Making noise, discussions, spitting, chewing or doing anything, which may disturb other users, are strictly prohibited.
4. Bags and personal belongings are not allowed in the library.
5. One note book / white papers are allowed into the library.
6. No Student is allowed in the library during class work.
7. Every student shall be provided with two barrower tickets as per their eligibility, which must be produced every time when books are borrowed.
8. Barrowers have to check the books before they are taken from the library and if any book is damaged it should be brought to the notice of the librarian, otherwise the member shall be held responsible for any damage discovered while returning the book.
9. Borrowers will be responsible for all the books issued on their cards. Avoid making Pencil / Pen Marks, Underlining, or any other type of Damage to the Book(s) / Journal. If any such things are noticed at the time of returning the books, the Borrower will be held Responsible
10. Students should RETURN the books ON or BEFORE the Due Date.
11. Damage or loss of books shall be immediately reported to the librarian and then twice the cost of the book or the book in original with penalty is to be submitted in the library.
12. Reference section books will not be issued to the students.
13. Any student trying to take away books unauthorized will be severely punished and fined with min of Rs.1000/- and may also to expelled from utilizing the library facilities.
14. The librarian with the approval of the principal reserves the right to add, delete, alter or modify any of the rules if found necessary.
15. WATCH the Notice Board of the Library & Information Science Centre every time you visit. .Consult the Library Staff on Duty for any other Information or Clarification.
16. A user has to show identity card whenever he / she enters the Library.
17. All the personal belongings should be deposited at the counter. The user has to pay Rs. 10/- towards loss of token of personal belongings counter.
18. Users are requested to allow search of person at the Library exit gate while leaving the Library.
19.Personal books, printed material, photocopy material are not allowed inside the Library.
20.Outsiders are not allowed into the Library and Smoking is strictly prohibited.

All the books borrowed from the Library should be returned on or before the date stamped on the due date slip failing which overdue charges Rs. 1/-per day per book will be collected. Receipt has to be obtained in the counter.


In case of loss or damage of book, the user has to replace the latest edition of the book or pay the price as per rules prescribed by the Library.


All the students are required to return the books soon after completion of examinations/course and obtain a? No Dues Certificate? from the Library, otherwise their results will be withheld.
